This unique program introduces kids to thebuilding blocks of track and field. Over the courseof 5 weeks’ kids will be exposed to distance,sprinting, jumping and throwing events. These leagues will be combined with Fairview Park & North Ridgeville so some travel is required. Practices will be during the week in the evenings between 5p-8p starting in early March. Practice days/times will be determined by the coaches. Practices will take place indoors at the rec center on our new turf field. Games will be played on Saturday's starting at the end of March. Home games will be played indoors at the rec center or outside at North Olmsted High football stadium. This 5-week program is designed to get you ready for our fall cheer program that will align with our tackle football program. We will learn motions, jumps, chants, and a dance. All participants will receive a t-shirt. This program will take place indoors at the rec center. We will finish with an appearance at a spring flag football game on May 20th.
Mark Price is known as one of the greatest fundamentally sound shooters in the history of the NBA. Mark has passed on his knowledge to many superstars past and present in the NBA. He embraces teaching the game of basketball the right way and is excited about bringing his camp to North Olmsted. Mark Price was a 4x NBA All Star, All-NBA first team, and a 2 time NBA 3-point shootout champion. This camp will be held at North Olmsted High School.
Teams from North Olmsted will play with teams from surrounding cities. Teams will be broken down by recreation department staff. Please, note that special requests for players to be placed with a certain coach or player are not accepted. Players' teams are not switched to accommodate schedule conflicts for practices. Practices will begin in late-April and will be determined by the coaches. Games will start in late-May. There will be an end of the season tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.**Skills Evaluation**March 26th between 4p-7p (exact time for your age group will be sent out by March 14th)
This league will stress the fundamentals and is for both boys and girls. Practices days/times will be determined by the coaches and will start in mid-May. Game will start in June and game days are Monday night's and Saturday mornings/afternoons.
