The North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Department has established the guidelines below in regards to the issuing of full or partial refunds for Activities, Membership Passes & Reservations. Please review the policies and be aware that individuals assume the risk of changes in health or personal schedule.
Activity Refund
If an activity does not have a sufficient number of participants prior to the first day of class, the activity may be cancelled by the Department. If the activity is cancelled by the Department, a refund for the full amount that was paid will be applied, as a household credit, to your RecTrac account or a check for the full amount can be issued from the Finance Department. Checks take two weeks to process plus mailing time.
If an individual cannot participate or continue with an activity and can provide a medical excuse stating that they cannot participate in that activity; a refund can be applied, as a household credit, to your RecTrac account or a check can be issued from the Finance Department for the remaining time scheduled for that activity. Checks take two weeks to process plus mailing time.
If an individual wishes to cancel from an activity, without a medical excuse, and receive either a check or a Household credit, they must complete the Activity Refund Request Form within 7 days prior to the start date of the activity. An administrative fee of 20% will be assessed to the refund. A check will be issued from the Finance Department. Checks take two weeks to process plus mailing time. Refunds will not be issued if requested less than 7 days prior to the first class of the activity.
Membership & Pass Refund
No refunds, household credits, or transfers to another person will be given for any pass purchased through the North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Department.
Reservation Refund
No refunds or household credits will be issued for any reservation made for the Ice Rink, Tennis Courts, Swimming Pools, Rooms, Birthday Parties, Fields, Pavilions, Shelters and/or Gazebos.
